Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Topside Attic Insulation team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.

Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate

We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.

How We Price Insulation Work

Every job at Topside Attic Insulation is priced job-by-job off a free written estimate. There is no hourly rate, no plan to join, no subscription that earns you a discount. You see the full number for your specific job, in writing, before anyone touches a tool – and that number is the price.

Call (218) 261-7714

That matters because insulation work varies more than most trades. A 1,400-square-foot attic with open top plates and a dozen unsealed can lights is a different job than one that just needs a blown-in top-up. Quoting them the same way would either overcharge one homeowner or underquote the next. We scope the job first, write the number down, hand it to you, and wait. If you say yes, we start. If you say no, you walk away with a cleaner picture of what the work actually involves – and that costs you nothing.

What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free, and there is no obligation attached to it.

When we come out, Wes Okafor or one of our background-checked technicians walks the attic, checks the crawl space if it is relevant, and takes readings and photos of what we actually find. The visit usually runs 45 to 75 minutes depending on the home. At the end of it, you get a written scope and a flat price. Not a range. Not an estimate that “starts at.” A number. You are completely free to say no, sit on it, or bring it to someone else for a second opinion – we will even help you read a competing quote if you bring one in.

When People Usually Call Us

In Wes’s experience, calls come in two patterns.

The first is reactive. A homeowner gets an energy bill that doesn’t match what the house should cost to run, or they notice that one room never quite hits the temperature on the thermostat. Sometimes it’s a contractor who opened up a wall and found nothing – or found crumbled fiberglass that stopped doing its job sometime during the Clinton administration. That kind of call usually has some urgency behind it, and we try to get out quickly.

The second is planned. Homeowners who are refinancing, selling, or just paying attention to where their money goes tend to call when the season is about to turn – before the first real heating stretch of fall, or before the air conditioning has to carry the whole summer. There’s no wrong time to get an estimate, but the people who schedule ahead tend to have more flexibility in timing the work around their own calendar rather than ours.

Either way, the process is the same: a free visit, a written price, no work until you say so.

What You Can Expect From Us Either Way

What You Can Expect From Us Either Way

A few things apply to every job, offer or no offer.

Written price before any work starts. Haven Standard Clause 1: flat price, written scope, written warranty – delivered before anyone lifts a tool. This is not a policy we toggle on for certain customers.

Sealed first, then insulated. We will not blow insulation over an unsealed attic floor. Air sealing of top plates, can lights, and penetrations is completed before any insulation is added. The sequence matters because insulation sitting on top of air leaks is, in Wes’s words, money in the attic.

Before-and-after blower-door numbers on applicable jobs. A pressurization test gives you a single figure – ACH50 – that shows how much conditioned air the home was losing before we started and how much it’s losing after. We publish both numbers so you can see what the work actually did.

Documented Photo Record on every visit. Included. Not available on request.

365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. That applies for a full year after the job closes.

Background-checked, uniformed technicians. A live person answers the phone, 24/7 – no voicemail loops, no callback windows measured in business days.

Common Questions

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The estimate visit costs you nothing and carries no obligation. A technician comes out, inspects the space, takes photos and readings, and hands you a written price. You decide what to do with it from there.

Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?

No, and that’s deliberate. We price every job off a free written estimate, and that’s the only pricing mechanism we use. No hourly rates, no subscriptions, nothing to sign up for. If the number we give you needs to be revisited, we’d rather re-scope the job than hand you a financing agreement.

Can I combine two offers?

One offer per household per visit. If you’re unsure which applies best to your situation, ask when you call and we’ll walk you through it before the appointment is set.

Does the price change once the crew is on-site?

No. The written estimate is the price. If we open something up and find a condition that changes the scope – say, a rim joist full of crumbled fiberglass that wasn’t visible from below – we stop, re-quote in writing, and wait for your approval before doing anything beyond the original scope. No surprises is Haven Standard, not a courtesy we extend on good days.
