Available Territories - Topside Attic Insulation

Available Franchise Territories

Topside Attic Insulation is opening protected territories in twelve states, and we’re looking for operators who want to build a local business on a standard that already has proof behind it. Since 2016, we’ve sealed and insulated more than 9,000 homes, every one with a written price before work started and a documented record when the crew left. A protected territory means you’re not bidding against another Topside operator across town. You get the systems, the brand, the material relationships, and the playbook. What you build in your market is yours.

This is a first-mover moment. The markets below have open territory available today. Once a territory is claimed, it’s closed to new operators. No countdown clock, no manufactured scarcity. Just a map that fills in as serious people step up.

Open Markets

These states currently have open territories for independent owners operating under The Haven Standard:

  • Texas – hot attics, aggressive cooling loads, and housing growth in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston that keeps adding spray foam and radiant barrier work.
  • Florida – humidity-driven air sealing and crawl space encapsulation demand that runs year-round, not seasonally.
  • California – Title 24 energy requirements and older housing stock in the Bay Area and Sacramento that needs real envelope work, not insulation top-ups.
  • Georgia – metro Atlanta’s housing stock from the 1980s and 1990s is hitting the age where attic air sealing and insulation replacement become urgent.
  • North Carolina – the Research Triangle and Charlotte have a steady pipeline of 2000s-era homes with under-insulated attics and leaky top plates.
  • Arizona – radiant barrier and attic insulation demand driven by 110-degree summers in Phoenix and Tucson.
  • Tennessee – Nashville’s growth is pulling in homeowners who want documented work, not a truck-and-a-blower in the driveway for three hours.
  • Ohio – cold winters and humid summers mean the envelope has to work in both directions, which is exactly what sealed-first insulation addresses.
  • Pennsylvania – Philadelphia’s rowhouse stock and the collar counties around it have attic and rim joist problems that haven’t been touched since installation.
  • Colorado – freeze-thaw cycles and high-altitude sun put real stress on building envelopes in Denver and Boulder.
  • Washington – the Seattle metro’s moisture levels make vapor barrier and encapsulation work a core service line, not an add-on.
  • Virginia – Northern Virginia and Richmond both have older housing stock plus a homeowner base that reads the three-star reviews before they call.

Every one of these markets has the same core demand: homeowners who paid a lot for their house and now want to know why the upstairs is ten degrees hotter than the downstairs. The answer, in most cases, is not more insulation. It’s air sealing first, then insulation on top of a sealed floor. That distinction is the business.

How Territories Work

A protected territory is a defined geographic area where you are the only Topside Attic Insulation operator. No other Topside franchisee can market, sell, or work inside your boundary. That means when you build brand recognition in your neighborhoods, you’re building equity that belongs to you, not feeding a competitor’s pipeline two ZIP codes over.

Territory size is based on housing density and realistic service capacity, not a fixed radius. A territory in metro Atlanta might cover a smaller geographic footprint than one in eastern Tennessee, but both are sized to support a full operation: a truck or two, a crew, and a phone that gets answered by a live person 24/7. We’d rather you saturate a smaller map and do it right than plant flags across three counties and leave work incomplete.

Reserving a territory starts with a conversation. You call the number below, we talk through the markets that are still open, and if it looks like a fit, we put a territory hold in place while you complete due diligence. A territory hold is a written reservation, not a handshake. It gives you time to review the franchise disclosure document, talk to existing operators, and decide whether The Haven Standard is something you want to build under. No territory is final until the agreement is signed and the hold expires by its own terms.

What you bring to the table is local: your license, your trucks, your neighbors. What Haven contributes is the standard you agree to work to, the documentation system that proves it, and the buying power that keeps your prices honest. Materials are sourced from Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and GreenFiber. No proprietary product lock-in. You quote the job, you choose the right material for the house in front of you, and the homeowner sees the before-and-after blower-door number to verify what changed.
